A monster Arcade pedestal for Carlo
My client lives in the United States and asked me to design and build the craziest arcade pedestal on the planet. Custom dimensions, special button layouts, RGB lighting, hypermarquee, and more.
The artwork would be semi-erotic with some nudity. Since I was born in the Netherlands and live near Amsterdam, I’m comfortable with more exotic artwork choices—so I fully agreed.
What made it difficult
Engineering a simple yet high-quality solution to mount and dismount the large hypermarquee screen box took quite a bit of time and several iterations.
I eventually came up with satin metal mounts that can be easily detached using a small Allen wrench.
To connect the speakers and screen, I installed panel mounts for audio, HDMI, and power, keeping everything clean and modular.

Result
This was the most complex pedestal arcade I have ever built, but by far one of the best.

Animated light in joystick washer (Happ Competition joystick)
Different button setups for players 3 and 4 on request (Mortal Kombat style)
Blue transparent plexiglass with laser engraving
RTX 4080 video card for extreme gaming power
